Officer Descriptions



PRESIDENT

  • Chief Executive Officer and assisted by the chapters’ Board of Directors

  • At the beginning of the year, call the Board together to construct a Plan of Action

  • Sets agenda for effective board and general membership meetings

  • In charge of effective meetings

  • Serve as the chief public relations representative for the chapter in the community

  • Behave professionally as befitting a chapter leader

  • Encourages involvement and leads by example, getting to know the members, asking new members and becoming personally in involved with chapter projects

CHAIR

  • Past President will serve as support and chairperson of Board

VICE PRESIDENTS - All VP’s, OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS

-Assist the chapter by assessing needs and interest of the members, reviewing chapter plans for their areas and developing a plan of action for their needs
 

-Provide guidance to the chairperson of projects in their area and be aware of project developments

 

-Communicate the schedule of events and pertinent issues at all meetings

 

-Contribute articles to the newsletters and get to know the members

 

-Constantly promote the chapter’s image in the community

 

  Internal Management Vice President       

           Individual Development
           ·  Leader of member advancement
          
·  In charge of selecting guest speakers at meetings
           ·
  Meet members’ personal needs through socials or
activities

           Management Development

                       ·  Tracks the health of the chapter

           ·  Responsible for involvement in Blue Chip Program

           ·  Assures the Springboard and Degrees Program is active   

                    and submit enrollments and advancement to the State

 Program Manage

·  Responsible for coordinating nominations of chapter

  members and activities to regional and state level

·  Responsible for submitting appropriate paperwork for 

  P.O.C. to the state

   Internal Management Vice President    

                 Community Development

·  Leader of community advancement

·  Directs efforts to identify community needs and   

  motivates members to lead community projects

                          

  

TREASURER & MEMBERSHIP
 

· Review bank statements and money paid out monthly

· Have checkbook balanced at all times

· Work with President in overseeing the dues and billing process

· Report at each meeting the balance of all chapter accounts

· Leads the chapter in the area of membership activity 

· Prepares the plan for recruiting new members and

  retaining existing members

· Assures that members dues are paid to the chapter



SECRETARY
 

· Take care of all written documents of chapter activities including meeting minutes, agendas, newsletters and correspondence

· Responsible for filing appropriate paperwork in a timely manner and ensuring financial stability of the chapter

 

 

STATE DIRECTOR
 

· Link between the chapter and the Region, State, National and International organization

· Plans and coordinates visitations to other chapters, regional and state activities and also National and International activities
